Berserker - Enkidu Empty Berserker - Enkidu

Post by Enkidu Wed Mar 28, 2012 9:56 pm

Servant

Berserker - Enkidu 1015340

Heroic Spirit Name: Enkidu
Age of Appearance: 18
Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral Good
Class: Berserker
Master: N/a
Face Claim: Enkidu Fate/Strange Fake

Appearance: Enkidu, appearing in his early 20's, has the appearance of a woman that people do not let him forget. His skin is soft to the touch and is smoother than marble itself when felt. He has long lime green hair that he allowed to grow to waist length and is able to keep it out of his face with little effort surprising most. Despite his lime green hair attracting the attention of most people his purple eyes are also an attention grabber. The gentle eyes of a domesticated animal, Enkidu's eyes appear to be glazed at all times however once he becomes enraged or serious they take on a much clearer appearance and their true beauty shines though.

Typically expected of Enkidu's build and appearance, he doesn't seem very strong much less able to hurt a fly. Despite his appearance Enkidu is the perfect harmony between beast and man, giving him unimaginable strength able to best any person who comes within his path. Even so, with such strength one would think that they would have the advantage of speed over him. Once again Enkidu proves them wrong as he is also extremely fast able to keep up with track runners and most servants in speed and endurance.

With this build it is obvious that he isn't the first choice as a berserker standing at 180 cm and boasting a weight of 60 kg. With this he is usually on the bottom of his wrestling matches yet his thin frame is still able to handle the stress of any weight on top of him. With this build it seems obvious that he would rather do a "hit and run" tactic however he is often right there with his opponent wrestling them to the ground.

With his attire being modest he simply wears white robes and white pants, he can also be seen wearing a loose red ribbon around his neck. This obviously being the choice of clothing to grab onto isn't the brightest idea with it still in arm's reach of Enkidu his clothing doesn't put him at a disadvantage immediately. While out in public his modesty once again shines through as he only wears a black shirt that has blue jeans to match. He wears a black belt to hold his pants up and black sneakers that he often will complain about. After being barefoot for so many years he dislikes having his feet covered up so he will try to take his shoes off once they become unbearable.

Personality: The main question with Enkidu’s personality is his incredibly gentle nature, compared to his best friend Gilgamesh, he is practically a saint and leads to others asking him how they became friends. He is kind to the point of always offering his enemies the chance to flee before a battle and even during battle when their magus is injured from outside interference. He is extremely loyal as well which comes to no surprise when knowing of his role with Gilgamesh, often willing to sacrifice anything to guarantee his master’s safety. Next to his loyalty to his master is his loyalty to Gilgamesh, even in the war he is loyal to the extreme willing to ignore his master’s orders if they are to harm Gilgamesh in anyway.

Perhaps the most peculiar thing about Enkidu is how he is respectful towards everyone as if they were all blue blooded nobles. This leads to him being an enjoyable fellow and most tend to enjoy having him around even if he is an enemy. Enkidu also tends to be a bit of a witty fellow without realizing what he is saying most of the time, this is due to being with Gilgamesh and being surrounded by intellectuals back during his life. He is also a closet pervert making quick perverted remarks with a sly grin on his face, but he doesn’t go past his simple remarks. However, above all of that, Enkidu is a gentleman, he doesn’t stand to see a woman treated like garbage and believes they should be taken care of like a rare gem.

Enkidu in Gilgamesh’s presences seems to change ever so slightly, he becomes like the guard dog of Gilgamesh. He still remains respectful to everyone, but if they prove themselves unworthy of his respect by disrespecting Gilgamesh or acting uncivilized he judges them aloud to be nothing more than garbage underneath the mongrels that inhabit this planet. From that point onward they are nothing more than garbage to Enkidu and he speaks harshly to them. He doesn’t offer them a chance to flee anymore or any other privileges he gives the servants.

Similar to an iron wall, Enkidu stands strong and never lets anything affect him, acting a rock for most people. It appears as if he is emotionally invincible however he is just a vulnerable as any person is, his tears are perhaps the hardest emotion to pull from him. The only known way is to have someone he cares about killed or have them curse him with all their hatred. His anger is easier to draw from him but still difficult, It requires to once again have someone he cares about to be killed or to see someone treating a woman like a piece of trash and harming them in front of him.

Enkidu when angry almost appears to be mad enhancement due to the fact that he can’t vocalize anything but a roar of anger. The only way to truly calm him down would be a command seal or Gilgamesh’s calm words. Once calmed down Enkidu tends to have tears in the corners of his eyes because he hates the feeling of becoming just like a wild animal. When fighting a servant Enkidu tends to become stoic and serious. Unlike Gilgamesh he doesn’t underestimate his opponents and will immediately try to kill them with no hesitation. Enkidu will become practically a monster and attack them viciously, He also shows a bit of a sadistic side and will vary from crushing their skull to ripping off a body part. However it doesn’t deter him from still being gentle with his master even during battle it is almost comical how he will change from a blood thirsty beast to his normal self when talking to his master.

History: The god Anu and the goddess Ninsun, Enkidu's creators had one ideal in mind when they created Enkidu. To relieve Gilgamesh's boredom, they in turn created a wild beast-man. That was Enkidu's sole goal in life decided by the gods. Enkidu was created as a diversion for the Sumerian king, and as a rival whom could match Gilgamesh in strength and push the king to his limits. Not knowing this Enkidu gladly lived his life.

Enkidu became a man among the beasts, practically their king. Not allowing anyone of them to be harmed by trapper or hunter. His raw strength was able to keep the hunters at bay and soon he began to cause trouble for the farmers and hunters all across the land. One trapper whom kept suffering attacks by Enkidu grew frustrated, and sought council from King Gilgamesh. Tricky and shameless Gilgamesh suggested the trapper turn to the aide of a local priestess named Shamhat. Shamhat willingly seduced the beast-man, causing a great loss for the animals, their only guardian lost to the humans. In time Enkidu became civilized and groomed in such a way that he could fit into society. The beast of the land were devastated and realized that Enkidu truly didn't care for them any more. They banished him from their territory and labeled him a traitor. Force to accept his position among the humans Enkidu occupied himself by helping trappers and hunters despite his entire being going against him. However he soon got over the qualm within and eventually wandered into the Sumerian capital of Uruk, where King Gilgamesh's palace lay. To be precise, Enkidu walked into a beautiful wedding ceremony and overhears a proud man claiming that he has a right to sleep with a newly married virgin bride. Enraged knowing from society that he didn't have a right to do that he quickly took chase to stop him. As Gilgamesh approached the lover's bedroom, he was confronted by Enkidu, who refused to back down. The stubborn, proud king and the enraged beast, truly a sight none had seen such a sight before.

The two became entangled in a wrestling match with one another, and Enkidu soon forgot about his anger and was starting to enjoy throwing the man around. Realizing that he wasn't going to be able to best him he gave it his all. In both strength and ability, the two men were equally matched however Enkidu quickly felt himself giving way and found the king on top of him successfully pinning him. This impressed Enkidu and he submitted happily to Gilgamesh even complimenting him on his strength. Gilgamesh released his hold on the man, and the two swore an everlasting oath of friendship to one another. Finally finding someone who he could be friends with, Enkidu was happy to accompany Gilgamesh on any quest he suggested for him. Gilgamesh eventually suggested that they venture into a nearby forest to slay a demigod, Humbaba, who was known to be a guardian of the gods themselves. The reason Gilgamesh wanted to embark on such a quest was simply to test himself and have something "fun" to do. The man sounded insane to Enkidu but the more he pondered it the more he began to agree with him.

The ensuing battle was ferocious and long-lasting, with Enkidu and Gilgamesh holding their own against this divine beast. However, Gilgamesh, being the clever king he was, tricked Humbaba into lowering his guard, and at that point they struck swiftly and decisively. Gilgamesh restrained the powerful deity, and would not release him despite protesting roars of anger from Humbaba. Gilgamesh wanted to slay the creature, and while Enkidu was initially opposed to this idea, He found it to be cruel and began to protested. But then he realized that doing so would make his friend infinitely famous, this giving him the final push to say yes. So, Enkidu agreed and went along with Gilgamesh's plan, allowing Gilgamesh to decapitate the legendary creature. After slaying Humbaba, the two friends felled the largest cedar trees in the area and lashed them together to make a raft, upon which they sailed back to Uruk. Perhaps these were Enkidu's happiest times was when he was with Gilgamesh.

After returning Enkidu over heard that a goddess offered Gilgamesh to be her mortal consort to which he denied. This rejection by a mortal upset Ishtar, who went to her father and coaxed him to send the Bull of Heaven to kill Gilgamesh and destroy Uruk. Enraging Enkidu to know a god tried to have his friend killed he secretly prepared for the battle. For several years, the fierce bull rampaged around Sumeria, slaughtering entire villages and decimating crops. But, with Enkidu's help, Gilgamesh was able to restrain and butcher the beast to protect his people. His proudest moment of his life was shattered in an instance by Ishtar whom was furious about the death of a divine animal, and demanded either Enkidu or Gilgamesh's life in return for the beast's own. In the end, Enkidu proudly held his head up high and took the punishment for Gilgamesh. He was stricken fatality ill and cursed everyone around him out of pure rage at the gods. In his last days, Enkidu cited seeing only a grim and bleak afterlife, and cursed the ones who created him. On his final day of his life he looked to Gilgamesh and Shamhat to apologize for him cursing them. He finally managed to be at peace just before his death knowing he had apologized his lover and his best friend.

Enkidu’s breathing echoed off the walls of the alleyway as he ran through it carrying the small girl; he mentally tried to recall what had happened and how he ended up with a small girl crying for his help. He remembered seeing Gilgamesh’s face slowly change from his calm noble appearance to a depressed tearful teenager. Then it was white, all he saw was a pure white dimension with nothing in it but him and a chair. He had no idea where he was but he figured it must have been a surprise set up by Gilgamesh; he always had these surprises for Enkidu when he found something interesting. So Enkidu sat on the ground next to the chair, he knew Gilgamesh would want the chair so he would be happy to sit next to him. Soon hours past as Gilgamesh didn’t show up, Enkidu was getting a little worried and proceeded to observe the chair to see if there was a note or something on it. After an hour of looking at the chair intensely he found nothing, “Well there can’t be in harm in taking a small nap right?” Enkidu pondered out loud as he stretched out on the floor, he closed his eyes and went to sleep. He found himself in bed, he couldn’t move and his body ached like he had been pierced with a thousand javelins from the gods themselves. He looked around and saw Shamhat sitting by his side with a cloth wiping away her tears, he tried to talk but he found his voice had nearly been reduced to a whisper.

She hadn’t heard him as Enkidu saw the night stand had a bowl of water with a cloth soaking in it. “But I’m not sick, I feel much better after that nap…” Enkidu thought to himself, He looked around and saw that the wooden door nearly blended in with the tan walls. He found that peculiar as it would normally stand out to him but he dismissed it as him still being sleepy. The door creaked opened as Gilgamesh slowly walked into the room, his head wasn’t held high as it usually was but lowered where you couldn’t see his eyes. Shamhat got up and ran to him, He stopped her with his hand as he looked up slowly to meet her eyes. It was obvious from even Enkidu’s perspective that he had been crying, He continued walking till he stopped by Enkidu’s side. He took a seat on the bed and smiled at him, “Hey Gilgamesh. I feel a lot better, maybe we could go out for a run later?” Enkidu said quietly trying to force his voice louder. “No, I’m sorry Enkidu but I don’t think we will be able to.” Gilgamesh replied with a calm voice, “Oh, well maybe tomorrow right?” “No, not then either Enkidu but we will go out running soon I promise.” “Alright, that sounds like a lot of fun.” Enkidu said with a smile on his face. Gilgamesh smiled back at him but it only seemed empty. “Listen, I truly am sorry for cursing you and Shamhat. I was upset and I had no right in saying such things.” Gilgamesh nodded slowly and Shamhat had turned away from him with quiet sobs. “Its fine Enkidu I just want you to get some rest. Get better so we can go have some more fun times together.”

He nodded to Gilgamesh and leaned his head back on the pillow; he never realized how comfortable it was. “That sounds like a good plan. I think I might just do that.” Enkidu said as he felt his eyelids become heavy; he looked towards Shamhat as tears rolled down her cheeks. He looked towards Gilgamesh one final time and saw him finally look like a teenager. He looked like his world had been turned upside down, but Enkidu smiled as he closed his eyes. Gilgamesh will be fine; after all he is the king. Enkidu let out one final breath as he awoke from the dream. “I died…” Enkidu said aloud. He felt somber as he looked around; no one was here but him. He was upset as he took a seat in the chair and felt it creak slightly. He didn’t want to die so young but that was his punishment he accepted for Gilgamesh, it was worth it in the end though. “Help me!” Enkidu looked around as the scream echoed in the empty white dimension. “Where are you?!” He yelled back as the white soon became covered in darkness, it was pitch black. “Please! Someone help me!” Enkidu looked around and saw a light in the corner of the room. Quickly running towards it he heard her voice clearer and clearer. He soon covered the distance from him and the light as he felt the cool wind on his face once again.

He smiled as a blade was brought down on his chest and simply rested there. Enkidu looked in front of him at the man with a sword stared at him in disbelief. He observed the attacker and a man behind him shouting something about the girl. The girl! Enkidu spun around to see her on the ground trying to stay alive the best she could. “Are you my master?” Enkidu said as if he was rehearsed over a million times, “Y-Yes.” The girl replied as he scooped her up into his arms. “That’s right…” Enkidu said aloud realizing why he was here. He stopped as he set her down on the ground and turned his back to her. “My name is Enkidu! I am the ally of Gilgamesh King of Babylon. I will do my best to protect you at all cost!” He told her as he lowered his body and spread his legs apart to shoulder width. “My name is Sarah. Th-Thank you Enkidu” Enkidu smiled to himself as he saw the servant round the corner and charge at him. Just before the man reached in Enkidu, almost as if it was muscle memory, He grabbed the sword and quickly twisted his wrist forcing him to let go. He grabbed a hold of the man by his hands and lifted him up off the ground swinging to the right. “It’s my pleasure Sarah!” Enkidu shouted as he suddenly swung to the left and smashed the servant into the wall.
