Forum Regulations
Rules
1. Respect forum staff. The members of our staff have all proven themselves to be capable, hard workers. The staff has a lot of responsibilities to ensure the forum runs smoothly. Please, show due respect and work with the staff of Fate/Another Future, and your time here shall be much more enjoyable. We, the staff, plan to work with the members, and share one common goal: to make the forum more enjoyable for the members.
2. Respect other forum members. Here on Fate/Another Future, we enforce a policy of "mutual respect." Show respect and trust to others, unless the give you a reason to do otherwise. If this rule could be perfectly followed, we'd have actually codified it. Unfortunately, this is the internet, so drama is inevitable. Still, try to be on your best behavior...we are all here to have fun, and enjoy ourselves.
3. Follow all of the appropriate templates and guidelines/rules. Please make an effort to follow all rules at all times, and also to use the correct, provided templates when doing anything. For example, when creating a character, use the correct template. In the event a template for a special case or post-matter does not exist, then this rule is not applicable until a template is made.
4. No God-modding, powerplaying, metagaming, or bunnying.
God-modding - Godmodding refers to the act of "playing god", essentially, and means implying or forcing action on another character. It is one of the cardinal rules of RP that you do not godmod another player's character. Some players have different comfort levels in godmodding.
Metagaming - Metagaming is a broad term usually used to define any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself. In simple terms, it is the use of out-of-game information or resources to affect one's in-game decisions.
Bunnying - To bunny, is to take control of somone's character and not play them properly. If you were to have a conversation with a character, that is fine, but if they were to suddenly do or say something that didn't match their personality that would be bunnying, and it puts the owner of said character in an awkward position. Bunnying someone's character to get your own way is not a good move to make.
5. No Mary Sue/Gary Sue characters. Stop that. - No character is perfect. No character in flawless and completely likable despite what should be inhibiting character flaws. If your character can pass the Mary-Sue Litmus Test AND our staff assessment to determine proposed characters are or are not Mary Sues, then you're in good shape.
6. Use proper grammar, spelling, and syntax. Seriously guys. Guys, seriously.
7. No plagiarism on Fate/Another Future. This means that when making characters, especially characters whom have appeared in Fate/* canon, do NOT simply copy ANYTHING from the wiki page. You should at least be able to thoroughly discuss a character and related elements, and be able to put everything in your own words.
8. Maintain activity. - A stagnant forum quickly finds itself on life support. Try your best to remain active, please.
9. Don't stretch the page. It looks bad.
10. Do not hound the staff for character evaluations. The staff of Fate/Another Future is often quite busy. The members have our guarantee that staff will do everything in their power to thoroughly and expediently evaluate proposed characters. So, do not bug the staff about getting your character evaluated. We will get to it.
11. Account Names. Any account made on Fate/Another Future must be the name of the actual character you plan to play. Some Servants may not have a last name, but Masters and Magi should almost always have a first and last name. Make sure you register with the proper account name.
12. Additional Characters. Here at Fate/Another Future, we allow for users to have up to a maximum of three characters. One character per account. To be eligible to make a second character, one must first prove themselves a capable roleplayer and make fifteen in-character posts with their first character. They must then make fifteen with the second, or a total of thirty posts (fifteen additional posts from the first criteria) to be eligible for a third character.
These rules are subject to change at the discretion of the staff.
